Speech is silver, silence is golden to mean listening is far more important than speaking; we have two ears and one mouth to give more attention to listening than to speaking. /Ethiopians say in Amharic: Zimta work new, literally saying silence is gold, and kalemenager dej azmachinet yikeral, saying, you lose pride if you don’t speak./
I have been listening for most of my time but end up listening to someone else’s story without letting others know a bit of mine. So, I decided to speak as much as I listen to so that equilibrium is established. I think balanced form of communication works better.
